Shenzhen Shixia School is located in No. 96, Fumin Road, Futian District and it is close to the Committee of Futian District.  

Thanks to the prior development of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, as well as the favorable geographical location and the support from the whole staff, Shenzhen Shixia School has achieved great-leap-forward development. It was first founded in 1995. In 1999, Shixia primary school department set up. It is the first nine-year educational school in Futian District. In total, there are more than 2,500 students in the school. There are 1,432 secondary school students and 1,131 primary school students. The secondary school department consists of 30 classes while the primary school department consists of 26 classes. Shenzheng Shixia School is made up of 187 teachers and workers. The school boasts excellent staff, including one special- grade teacher in Guangdong Province, five teachers honored the award of “outstanding gardener in Futian Education”, one chief teacher in Futian Education and many other core teachers awarded honors from the nation, Guangdong Education Bureau and Shenzhen Municipal Government. There are 38 senior teachers in the secondary school and 40 in the primary school.All the teachers meet the teaching requirement of degree. and the present principal is Mr. Li Yongsheng, an energetic man with great wits. 

Shenzhen Shixia School covers an area of 35,380.1 m². The campus is decorated with beautiful flowers and green trees everywhere. The statue named Sediment stands in the middle of the square with two rows of straight Roystonearegias guarded beside. A overhead foot bridge connects the campus of the secondary school department and the primary school department so that the two departments are able to have a better cooperation and share their resources 

Shixia school provides students with an environment of academic advancement and artistic improvement. For example, there is a geography area, biology garden, different function rooms, a library with thousands of books to meet the need of everyone here. There is one football court, four basketball courts, two volleyball courts, one plastic-track field of high quality and a modern gym for teachers and students to carry out indoor sports. Educational information and campus network construction cover the whole campus. There is also a multi-media teaching platform for every class and a computer for every teacher.
